Novahunt Moose hunting in Scandinavia

What seperates the experience of a lifetime from any other hunt? Fair chase, tradition, local cuisine and culture! These four ingredients are the backbone of the moose hunting experiences we offer. Our trophy hunts mainly take place in Swedish and Norwegian Lapland, because it is there we find the biggest bulls. We welcome you to a stalk to remember.

A little taste of Moose hunting with Norwegian Elg Hounds

Experiencing trophy moose in Scandinavia

These hunts are all about fair chase. This provides you with a true hunt that will challenge your hunting skills. It also means that we can’t promise you a guaranteed medal bull, though our clients have so far successfully harvested a bull. It is an experience rich in tradition, our hunting methods are perfected through the centuries. For us, hunting is an annual event for the whole family that is rooted deep in our culture.

Hunting Methods

if you have watched the video clip, you will have seen that we use dogs. These dogs are called “elghunder” – they have been bred exclusively to track moose and keep them at bay. Using these dogs, you will get up close and personal. An other way is to spot and stalk. This method we use in more open terrains.

Experiencing our culture & Cuisine

  • Local ingredients such as gamemeat, berries and mushrooms provide a great meal.
  •  Sharing the history of the region that you are hunting, by visiting musea or monuments.
  •  Experiencing our local hunting culture. It is our goal to make your hunting experience a journey into our hunting culture, by using traditional hunting methods.
  • The little extra’s. The coffee, freshly cooked on the campfire during lunch time in the middle of the forest. Fishing for trout or even king crab after dinner. It is those things that make your hunting experience complete
